An opportunity to learn the choreography from Ain’t Too Proud – The Life & Times of The Temptations, currently on Broadway. The workshop will be taught by the show’s Associate Choreographer, Edgar Godineaux. This will be an intermediate dance class highlighting the choreography inspired by the greatest group in the history of R&B. Character shoes preferred, sneakers or jazz shoes okay.
Edgar Godineaux is the Associate Choreographer for the Broadway musical Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations. Nominated for a NAACP Theater Award for Best Director/Best Choreography for Memphis, The Musical (regional larger theatre). He was the Associate Choreographer for Tony-nominated Memphis, The Musical (Olivier Award for Best Choreography in the U.K.) and Leap of Faith on Broadway. Edgar’s choreography has been seen in Lights Out: Nat “King” Cole at the Geffen Playhouse (Barrymore Award winner for Outstanding Choreography/Movement), Comedy Central pilot starring Awkwafina, “Dancing with the Stars” Jason Taylor and Edyta, “SYTYCD” Canada, Nona Gaye videos/tours BET Entertainment, The Five Heartbeats in collaborations with Michael Peters, Color Me Bad tour, Jersey Boys the movie, and Motown 30th Anniversary. He has toured with Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Diana Ross.
