On Saturday, April 14th from 3:00PM-6:00PM, we’ll be gathering at lululemon’s HUB seventeen to swap plants and stories for #NYCPlantSwap18. Just bring a pest-free, beautiful plant, or two or three for trade; they can be potted or bare root—as long as you’re prepared to part with them!
For this year's edition of the #NYCPlantSwap18, we'll have a 45-minute panel moderated by Maria from Bloom and Grow Radiofeaturing Amelia Winslow, Director of Project Management, Health-Ade Kombucha; Tal Zaken, Senior Coordinator of the Organics Outreach in the Bureau of Recycling and Sustainability in the NYC Department of Sanitation, and Nicole Baum, Marketing+Partnerships Manager of Gotham Greens.
Splendid Spoon and Gotham Greens will be providing fresh, locally-sourced plant-based nibbles; Health-Ade Kombucha will be quenching every partygoer's parched lips with their freshly muddled mocktails; LOLI Beauty will have a blending bar for everyone to take away their unique personal care product; and every Plant Swapper will be receiving a special GreenThumb Goodie Bag with plant-filled surprises upon departure!
Other amazing partners for the evening include our friends at:
Ticket sales will benefit Los Sures for the build out of their garden and chicken coop on S3rd Street in Williamsburg. Additionally, every $1 made in ticket sales will be matched by the Power Up Neighborhood Match with ioby.org, which means funds will be doubled for this excellent organization!
Not in NYC? You'll be able to tune into the live Q&A session and swap from 3:30PM-5:00PM on Instagram @homesteadbrooklyn.
