When we look for ways to optimize our health, rarely do we venture beyond diet and exercise, even though the interconnection between emotional and physical health is indisputable. But where can you go for a reliable boost of carefree optimism? How can you add a systematic and consistent program of positive emotion to your workout?
Laughter Yoga is one solution.
A general term for a series of vocalizations, breathing exercises and simple physical movements, Laughter Yoga’s sole purpose is to induce laughter to trigger the release of neurochemicals that boost the immune system, diminish the secretion of stress hormones and elevate mood. Whether expressed spontaneously or cultivated from playful social interaction, laughter is not only healthy, it's accessible in all of us.
In providing a social, therapeutic environment to exercise our inherent ability to laugh, practitioners frequently experience elevated mood, improved immune and respiratory function, reduced self-consciousness and greater resilience to stress.
Join us for a dose of lighthearted laughter. Your body will thank you.
The workshop will be taught by:
