Peak Power is a workshop designed by Caitlin Lavelle, NASM Certified Personal Trainer and RYT200, to develop yogis' strength, stability and endurance.
Designed to enhance your yoga practice, you'll leave this workshop sweaty while keeping your body supple and strong--all without gym machines! We integrate yoga props and unique moves designed to complement and counterbalance any yogi’s flexibility and practice.
The scientific definition of peak power is "the rate of energy flow in every pulse".
This workshop is called Peak Power because each workshop is dedicated exploring a specific peak asana (aka pose) while developing strength so the pose feels "steady and comfortable". And we'll tap into the energy flow of every heart-pounding pulse through conditioning and activation exercises tailored to each peak pose!
With consistent, progressive practice, you'll refine and enhance body proprioception (sense of body in space) and pose biomechanics.
The original intent of Hatha yoga was to balance opposites within each individual (strength/flexibility, intuition/reason, etc.). Peak Power will test, excite and enliven your yoga practice by refining your "balance of opposites"!
