Urban JourneyDance will be lead by Jeanine T. Abraham, the Founder & CEO of VisAbleblackwoman Productions. She is currently on a U.S. National tour with her solo show, Rhythm Therapy Rise!, a movement-based immersive theater experience. Join philosopher, yoga instructor, and award-winning writer Tatiana Forero Puerta in this class based on her book, Yoga for the Wounded Heart: A Philosophy, Practice, and Journey of Healing Emotional Pain (Lantern Books, 2018). Together, we will dive deeper into what is available on the yogic path but also explore a practical application to the yogic tools of healing our precious hearts so that we can live our lives with more insight, forgiveness, and joy. 

No previous experience with yoga necessary; just the curiosity to go within.

LIV.E believes in the power of versatility and prepares dancers for any performance environment  they may encounter. Constantly training in different  styles such as ballet, contemporary fusion, street jazz, heels, acting, voice and more! Our panel of experienced NYC Marathon Finishers trained for months just like you and ran among the 50,000+ participants just like you will on November 4th. We’ll discuss a range of topics including what to do with your time pre-race in the athlete’s village in Staten Island, what to expect at the start line, managing your nutrition along the way and how best to locate your friends and family on the course.

Our panelists will help you navigate your way around the 5 boroughs of NYC right through the finish line.
