DeepDive workshops are special events catered to helping you push your asana practice past the boundaries of a traditional studio class.

This workshop will focus on deep hip openers that will help you build a regular splits practice.

Your class will be led by Eliza Hansen, Brooklyn based yoga teacher who specializes in flexibility training. Eliza will give you the tools to build your splits practice by guiding you from simple stretches to deeper expressions and covering basic functional anatomy. Through balance of ease and effort, you'll extend beyond your expectations.

HSS Keep Her in the Game Conference

As the world’s leading academic medical center focused on musculoskeletal health, it is part of Hospital for Special Surgery’s mission to enable young female athletes to continue in sports. Studies have shown that girls are dropping out of sports at 1 ½ the rate that boys do by the age of 14, and by 17, more than half of girls will quit sports altogether.

In an effort to encourage and empower girls to continue in sports, HSS has partnered with espnW to create "Keep Her in the Game," a day-long conference featuring distinguished females from various disciplines in the sports industry.

Throughout the day, middle school & high school girls and their coach or parent will hear from sports physicians, ESPN talent, current and former pro athletes, motivational speakers, nutritionists and more.

Curated and hosted by Zach Zimmerman (The New Yorker, TimeOut NY Comic to Watch 2019), the evening will include comedy, magic, drag, games, and facilitated interactions, all of which are secondary to the titular goal: 100 people in a room. Urban JourneyDance will be lead by Jeanine T. Abraham, the Founder & CEO of VisAbleblackwoman Productions. She is currently on a U.S. National tour with her solo show, Rhythm Therapy Rise!, a movement-based immersive theater experience. Jeanine is a writer, SAG/AFTRA and AEA actor, and member of The Barrow Group Theater Company Community, FAB Women at TBG and Blessed Unrest Theater company’s Train Gang.
